Bristol 1 Day Wine Tasting Workshops

Each workshop is a full day of tasting, learning and talking about wine including a fantastic food & wine matching lunch. Currently hosted at the award winning Goldbrick House (69 Park St, BS1 5PB) our Our Wine Workshops are structured so as to appeal to everyone from the absolute beginner through to budding wine enthusiast.
Typical days outline:

10.30 - 11.00 Learn how to swirl, sniff and taste wine
11.00-12.45 White Wines from around the World
12.45-13.45 Food & Wine matching Lunch
13.45-15.45 Red Wines from around the world
15.45-16.00 Question time and wrap up
You'll learn how to taste and analyse wine. While tasting at least 14 wines you'll learn how region, climate, winemaking techniques and many other factors affect the final wine in the bottle. You'll learn what makes a better quality wine and the key characteristics of each grape variety and the typical regions you find them. During a specially created food & wine matching lunch you'll learn the fundamentals of food & wine matching. All this and much more in a fun and informative one day workshop.

'Old World' Wine Workshop

This workshop concentrates on the old world wine producing countries - Concentrating on France in the morning then looking at Italy, Spain, Portugal and Germany in the afternoon You'll gain a better understanding of what's really behind, the often very difficult to understand - the grape varieties, wine styles and much much more.

'New World' Wine Workshop
This workshop will take you to all the main wine producing countries of the New World - Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, South America, and North America. You'll gain a better understanding of the regionality, key wine styles and grape varieties and wine making techniques within these countries. You’ll learn how to taste and analyse wine like a professional as well as getting a better understanding of what each of these countries is doing well.
