Every wine has a story to tell...let Wine Unearthed share it!

Full Day Wine Workshop:

We would generally start the day with an introduction on ‘how to taste wine like a professional’ with everyone receiving their own tasting notebook with guidance on what you’re looking at, what you’re sniffing, and most importantly what you’re tasting! Throughout the event many of the wines will be served ‘blind’ challenging guests to identify for example the Old World wine against the New World wine or the Sauvignon Blanc against the Chardonnay etc. Another fun activity that works very well is the ‘Nez du Vin’ Challenge whereby individuals/teams must identify the wine aroma in the glass jars. These are a great way to test your nose and also learn many of the typical aromas found in wines and what they mean – for example the smell of vanilla is often associated with a wine having been aged in oak.

As part of the day we would have a food and wine matching lunch / dinner. We keep these relaxed with plenty of time to answer questions and also discover some great food & wine combinations. We will work with the venue to devise a fantastic lunch which enables us to show some great food & wine combinations.
