Beginners Wine Appreciation Course
A wine tasting taster! This course consists of 5 two hour tutored sessions aimed at the beginner level. The course includes tailor made weekly notes, your individual tasting notebook (with plenty of space to use for your tastings at home) and 6 ISO tasting glasses to keep.
Each week will consist of some theory and plenty of tasting. 6 Wines will be tasted each evening. Wines are specially selected to demonstrate that evenings subject.
| Week 1 | How wine is made & How to taste & analyse wine like a professional |
| Weeks 2 - 4 | Major Grape Varieties. Over these three weeks we concentrate on the major grape varieties from around the world. You'll learn the typical aromas and flavour characteristics associated with each grape and how country of origin, winemaking techniques and age etc. can effect the final wine style. |
| Week 5 | Other wine styles. Including sparkling & fortified wines. We'll take a look at some of the other popular styles of wine, how they're made, where they're from, and of course...how they taste! |
