Essential Corporate Wine Tasting Tips for a Smooth Event

Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty! Here are my top corporate wine tasting tips to ensure your event runs like clockwork:

1. Choose the Right Venue

The venue sets the vibe. Pick a space that’s comfortable, well-lit, and has enough room for guests to mingle. Whether it’s a cosy private room, a stylish office lounge, or a trendy event space, make sure it suits your group size and style. Wine Unearthed can help you select the perfect one.

2. Decide on a theme

Variety is the spice of life! We can keep things 'general' with a 'World of Wine' tasting or make it more specific based on your interests/preference. We would usually offer a mix of reds, whites, and maybe even a sparkling wine or two. Including wines from different regions and grape varieties keeps things interesting, and takes into consideration guests’ preferences.

3. Hire a Knowledgeable Host or Sommelier

This our Specialty! A great host can make all the difference. They’ll guide your guests through the tasting, share fascinating stories, and answer questions. This adds an educational twist and keeps everyone engaged. Wine Unearthed's hosts are all qualified Sommeliers or WSET Diploma holders - they know their stuff, but keep things unstuffy!

4. Food - with or without it?

Wine Unearthed can organise wine tastings with or without food. If choosing an external venue then it often makes sense to include food -cheese/canapes/meal- as it may form part of a minimum spend. If hosting in-house then most choose between a pure wine-tasting or a Cheese & Wine Tasting.

5. Keep It Interactive and Fun

We can Incorporate games, quizzes, and blind tastings to spice things up. The more interactive, the more memorable the event!
