Few wine regions on earth pack as much variety as California. Stretching from the foggy coast to sun-drenched inland valleys, the state produces everything from lean, mineral Chardonnays to lush, velvety Cabernet Sauvignons — often within a short drive of each other.

Napa Valley is the headline act: its Cabernets are among the most celebrated in the world, built for the cellar but irresistible young, with dark fruit, cedar, and a plushness that's unmistakably Californian. Sonoma, its quieter neighbour, is the connoisseur's playground — cooler-climate Pinot Noirs from the Russian River Valley carry silky elegance, while Zinfandels from Dry Creek deliver a spicy, fruit-forward punch that's uniquely Californian in character.

Further south, Paso Robles has become a hotbed of adventure: bold Rhône blends, Grenache, and Syrah thrive in the dramatic day-to-night temperature swings. Meanwhile the Santa Barbara coast, made famous by the film Sideways, turns out some of the state's most refined Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with a freshness that defies California's sunny reputation.

What unites all of it? A generosity of flavour, ripe fruit balanced by increasingly sophisticated winemaking. There's no better way to explore it than tasting side by side — which is exactly what we're inviting you to do.
Join us for an evening of California wine and taste these regions in the glass.
